The Best I Can Do Now

I will become 86 years of age in less than 3 weeks, and have discovered that I am not able to do many of the things I used to do. Consequently, my friends my age and I have been feeling some guilt as others work so hard to overcome the effects of Harvey, in every place where he has wrought havoc. Here I am, safe at my daughter’s home in the Woodlands, while many of my friends and family are experiencing exhaustion as they work day by day to do whatever is necessary in the wake of such disaster. The old saying, “I’ll be with you in spirit” is about the best I can do these days. To all those who are suffering I promise my continued prayers as I await the restoration of power so I can go back home. I rode out Celia, Ike and Harvey, and seriously doubt ever doing that again. I would just like to say to everyone, “God will take care of you, through every day, o’er all the way, He will take care of you, God will take care of you.”
