“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV).
The above painting is an artist’s interpretation of the first Thanksgiving in our new world. Since then the day has become an official national holiday. We are thankful that the United States has a special day set aside for the purpose of thanking God for His blessings.
Historians disagree about the circumstances of life for the folks who came through many hardships as they settled in hope of a better future. What most historians agree on is the fact that this nation grew and became a great nation.
The people who first came were joined by others and in less than 200 years became a nation all its own. Our first president was inaugurated in 1789 and our present president is number 46. We have much for which to be thankful. It is fitting and proper to thank God for His blessings today.
GIVE THANKS

Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks unto the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son.
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks unto the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son.
And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich”
Because of what the Lord has done for us.

Let the poor say, “I am rich”
Because of what the Lord has done for us.
Give thanks. Give thanks.
