I’ll Meet You In the Morning

Yesterday, we blogged about the hymn, “Sunlight,” the last verse of which says, “Soon I shall see Him as He is, the Light that came to me, behold the brightness of His face throughout eternity.” That verse is talking about Heaven. Are you going there? The same group that sang “Sunlight” yesterday will sing more about Heaven today as they present, “I’ll Meet You In the Morning.”
About two years ago I did a blog about this song and the Gaither Vocal Band sang it. Today we return to the group who sang yesterday and hear them again. Listen as the Chuck Wagon Gang sings, “I’ll Meet You In the Morning.”

I’LL MEET YOU IN THE MORNING
Albert E. Brumley
1936

‘ll meet you in the morning by the bright riverside
When all sorrow has drifted away
I’ll be standin’ at the portals when the gates open wide
At the close of life’s long dreary day
I’ll met you in the morning with a ‘How do you do?’
And we’ll sit down by the river and with rapture, auld acquanitance renewed
You’ll know me in the morning by the smile that I wear
When I meet you in the morning by, in the city that is built four square
I will meet you in the morning in the sweet by and by
And exchange the old cross for a crown
There will be no disappointments and nobody shall die
In that land when life’s sun goeth down
I’ll meet you in the morning with a ‘How do you do?’
And we’ll sit down by the river and with rapture, auld acquanitance renewed
You’ll know me in the morning by the smile that I wear
When I meet you in the morning in the city that is built four square.
