Today is the 84th birthday of my twin sisters, Elva Underwood and Melva Keil. The picture below is cropped from a family picture of the two of them surrounded by many in their families. Click here to see the whole picture.
Each of the twins is a widow. Elva (at left) is the mother of two daughters and a son. Melva is mother to two sons. Each of them has several grandchildren.
The three of us were born before our parents divorced and remarried. By the time the twins were 19, the three had become seven.
At our age, one would expect health problems, and each of us has those, but we keep on keeping on, thankful for each day God gives us and attempting to be a blessing to others.
Time keeps moving forward, and seems to be picking up its pace. As we look forward, we do so with faith. As we look backward, we see a lifetime of memories we are glad we have.
