I Can Only Imagine

“I Can Only Imagine” (sometimes shortened to “Imagine”) is a single recorded by Christian rock band MercyMe. Written and composed by Bart Millard, the song, based around a main piano track, was inspired by the death of Millard’s father. It poses the question, “What will it be like to stand before Jesus when we get to Heaven?” I have selected Susan Boyle’s rendition of the wonderful song.
Another hymn, precious to us all, declares, “When we all get to Heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory!”
And another hymn asks us to think about this: “What a day that will be, when my Jesus I shall see, and I look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace. When He takes me by the hand, And leads me through the Promised Land, what a day, glorious day that will be!”
