FREE FLOWING WATER
It was a cabin in a valley
High above the sea.
Surrounded by the mountains
A beautiful sight to see.
Snow melted on a mountain
Then ran down to be
A crystal, flowing fountain
For the cabin, don’t you see?
Into the pipes within the den
The melted snow did run
Just turn the little faucet
There’s the water..oh, what fun!
The excess water entered a creek,
Around the cabin it went,
Flowing ever so freely
Into the creek it was sent.
Need water? Here it is,
For whatever may be your need,
Satisfy thirst, or boil in a pot
There are hungry mouths to feed.
As I watched the water flowing
To the cabin in the vale,
I thought of a thirsty woman
And her repeated trips to a well.
On one of those trips she met Jesus
Who offered to quench her thirst,
She ran to her friends with a message
And a heart was about to burst
With the news of a fount of blessing
That washes away our sins
And cleanses our soul forever
With salvation that never ends.
There is a cabin in a valley
With water from above,
There is a fountain of blessing
In our Savior and His love.
It is the water of life!
