Janet continues to recover from her surgery and seems to be doing very well. Your prayers are deeply appreciated as we confidently look forward to her getting through the healing from surgery and the radiation treatments to follow.
Yesterday’s blog presented the traditional Christmas story from Luke 2:1-20 in the King James Version, which most of us have memorized, probably without being aware that we had done so. On Wednesday evening, at our church’s mid-week prayer service, we went over the story once again and were touched by the wonder of it all.
Many of us received an email this week entitled, “The First King-sized Bed.” As we scrolled down the page, what met our expectant eyes but the manger! Indeed it was the first bed on this earth for the King of kings and Lord of lords.
The theme of the angel’s message to the shepherds of long ago and to the world of today is, “Joy!” “Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth receive her king. Let every heart prepare Him room, and Heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And Heaven–and Heaven–and nature sing!”
