Today is the day before the day before Christmas.
Christmas, however, is a season more than it is a day. We started having special get-togethers, dinners, parties, etc. weeks ago. In the churches the special worship experiences also got started many days ago. On radio and television, extra special programs on some facet of Christmas have been showing every day.
Christmas is a “big deal.”
Thanksgiving and Christmas plus New Year observances all go together to make one great big season that emphasizes family and renewal.
It’s a great time to think about God’s blessings. It’s a wonderful time to think about others and how we may help some of them through some hard times. It’s an opportunity to contact people with whom we can share good times. It’s a chance to make some good memories.
