All good?

”picToday is Wednesday, Liver and Onions day in a certain restaurant located in South Texas. When prepared properly, it is a very tasty dish. I love it. Of course, I had to learn to eat it, because it was one of those foods I shunned when I was a kid. After finally trying it, I learned to like it a lot.
I don’t think I would like to eat it every day, but I suppose that could be said of anything. There’s not much danger of that, however, because Dwight and I don’t eat out much anymore and I have not yet tried to cook it.
Liver and onions is a dish that Europeans enjoyed before America was discovered. It is enjoyed in the U.K., Germany, France and Italy. It is also served in Russia and the Ukraine. It is sometimes popular in Central and South American countries. Cooks.com offers 412 recipes for Liver and Onions!
I was tempted to list several foods not usually found on your table, foods that I discovered when I was growing up. I can truthfully say I never tasted any of them, for the same reason I am not listing them here. The reason? A person with a vivid imagination has a hard time not getting sick when hearing the names of these foods. So, farewell to that subject.
I was hooked on Liver and Onions long before anyone suggested to me that the name is not appetizing, so the thought of it does not make me sick–it makes me hungry.
