Divine Resources

God Enables Us to Serve Him

”picWhen you take a trip in your automobile, you keep an eye on your fuel gauge. You want to make sure you have adequate fuel resources to make the journey.
Life is a journey. If we are wise, we will always make sure we have adequate resources for the trip.
Fortunately, God has provided what we need. Our divine resources are (1) The Word of God, (2) Worship (prayer), and (3) the Holy Spirit, not necessarily in that order.
The Word of God for us is our Bible. It is filled with messages from God for us. There are 32,000 promises in the Bible. God promises to give light to our path, hands down marching orders to us, provides spiritual food and help in overcoming temptations. We need to hide His Word in our hearts, just as the Psalmist did.
Worship, including prayer, is a necessity for us. A verse from the book of Hebrews urges us to “come boldly to the throne of grace, where we may find mercy and grace to help in time of need.” Do you face a crisis in your life? Have you prayed about it?
The Holy Spirit is God within the Believer. He moves within your heart to bring you to Christ, and when you accept Jesus as your Savior, He moves into your heart and makes His home there. He is always with us. To be “filled with the Spirit” is to surrender to Him and His ways. He gives you spiritual power.
Jesus said His people are the “salt of the earth” and the “light of the world.” Our purpose in life is to glorify God in such a way that others can see Him in us and want to know Him too. Let us rely upon our Divine Resources to become the people God wants us to be, and to serve in His name.
