“The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel” (Jeremiah 18:-4 KJV).
The above Scripture from the Book of Jeremiah tells us of an object lesson that God gave to the prophet. If a potter is not pleased with his work, he makes it again, using the same clay. That’s what God did for Israel, and that’s what He does for us. “..Anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” (2 Corinthians 5:17-18 NLT).
18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ.
Something Beautiful
Bill and Gloria Gaither

Something beautiful, something good
All my confusion, He understood
All I had to offer him, was brokenness and strife
But He made something beautiful
Of my life
If there ever were dreams
That were lofty and noble
They were my dreams
At the start
And the hopes for life’s best
Were the hopes that I harbored
Down deep in my heart
But my dreams turned to ashes
My castles are crumbled
My fortune turned to loss
So I wrapped it all
In the rags of my life
And laid it at the Cross
Something beautiful, something good
All my confusion, He understood
All I had to offer him, was brokenness and strife
But He made something beautiful
Of my life
He made something, beautiful
Of my life
