He tends his flock like a shepherd:
He gathers the lambs in his arms
and carries them close to his heart;

My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever. (Psalm 73:26 NIV)
What a blessing it is to know that we belong to God as one of his sheep because He dearly loves His own. Gathered with other sheep into His arms, we know we are near to His heart. I am weak, but He is strong. He loves me; He loves you. As His child, you are near and dear to His heart.
