My Faith Has Found A Resting Place

January 16, 2020 (Thursday)

God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God (2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV).

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do (Ephesians 2:8-10 NIV).

MY FAITH HAS FOUND A RESTING PLACE
Words: Lidie H. Edmunds
Music: Norweigian Folk Melody; arr. William J. Kirkpatrick

Chorus:
I need no other argument,
I need no other plea,
It is enough that Jesus died,
And that He died for me

Verses:
My faith has found a resting place,
Not in device nor creed;
I trust the Ever-living One,
His wounds for me shall plead.
(Chorus)

Enough for me that Jesus saves,
This ends my fear and doubt;
A sinful soul I come to Him,
He’ll never cast me out.
(Chorus)

My heart is leaning on the Word,
The living Word of God,
Salvation by my Savior’s name,
Salvation thro’ His blood.
(Chorus)

My great Physician heals the sick,
The lost He came to save;
For me His precious blood He shed,
For me His life He gave.
(Chorus)
