Let it snow (or rain)

It’s warm inside

December 7, 2009 (Monday)
picture of CharlesCelebrations with colorful lights and cheerful songs, along with good food and exchange of gifts are all a part of what goes on during December. I am writing this late in the afternoon on Sunday, and it’s dark, dreary and raining outside, with a temperature of something like 50 degrees. No wonder these celebrations are observed at this time of year.
If we don’t have a fireplace, we probably have a TV, loaded with football games.
It’s nice to be inside where it’s warm, with plenty of warm drinks like coffee or cocoa, a little popcorn maybe, and lots of Thanksgiving leftovers still in the refrigerator. My favorite food the last couple of days has been chili. It really tastes good on a day like this one.
According to the forecast, when this blog is seen by some on Monday morning, the rain will have stopped, but will be back by the afternoon. Personally, I’m glad we have many different types of weather, and, in its own way, each has a charm of its own. We all should enjoy it and follow the Scriptural teaching, “Be thankful always for all things.”

Psalm 100:4 – Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be Thankful unto Him, and bless His Name.
Psalm 107:1 – O Give Thanks unto The Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endureth for ever.
Colossians 3:15 – And let the Peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye Thankful.
Ephesians 5:20 – Giving Thanks always for all Things unto God and The Father in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 – In every thing give Thanks: for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
