Replacing “I” with “We”

“The ego has landed”

picture of CharlesThe Houston Texans had fun Sunday afternoon, because they won easily over the once-menacing Oakland Raiders. The Dallas Cowboys, however, went home very sad, remembering all too well the last few plays of the game against the Denver Broncos, as potential receivers in the end zone could not connect with passes from just a few yards away.
All the writers and newscasters blamed the Dallas quarterback, and even a famous former Cowboy hinted that the young guy wasn’t ready to lead “America’s Team.” People fall victim to hype when they idealize a specific position on a certain team as the greatest honor ever for a football player.
The quarterback didn’t lose the game all by himself; the team, including him, lost the game.
