Clear or not?
July 9, 2009 (Thursday)
I was cruising the frequencies on my car radio this morning and stopped on a station that was broadcasting a sermon. I heard the preacher saying he had been attacked by chiggers and the itching was driving him crazy. He was away at camp with a church group, so he telephoned his wife and begged her to help. “What can I do? The itching is driving me crazy. I’m covered with these bites!” “Don’t worry,”: she said. “Just get some clear nail polish and dab it on the bites and you will be able to get to sleep.” He was in such agony he didn’t listen very well, so he asked the store clerk for shoe polish. Next morning he was surprised at being covered with black spots that wouldn’t wash off. Poor guy.
Everyone makes mistakes. In this fellow’s case, he didn’t hurt anyone but himself, but many of our mistakes involve other people. Think about the last time you goofed. How many people were affected by your deed?
Be careful out there, ya heah?
