Trivial stuff

Like it says at the top of this page

picture of CharlesThe banner at the top of this blog describes the daily article as being trivial at times. Today’s assorted trivia:
The air conditioner in my car went out recently. I drove all the way across town in the heat of that day without it. The next day when I started the car it worked perfectly and has been working ever since.
The radio in my car failed a few days ago, but produced static. I kept turning it off and on to see if it had decided to start working again, and I did that for several days. The last time I tried, it worked!
I suppose one might deduce from these two incidents that I have a self-healing car. No wonder I’ve kept it over 14 years.
On Monday I left the house, drove through the morning rush hour to the hospital on the other side of town, then sat in the waiting room all day long. Got back home at 7:30 p.m. The next day (yesterday) I was zapped out completely. I guess I am really as old as the calendar says. Today I feel stronger but the knees are still old. They seem to take a little longer to catch up with me.
I cooked my first batch of pinto beans recently, and after that my first batch of black-eyed peas. Both were great. I’ve repeated the pinto bean project and have a sack of dried black-eyes ready to try again. Delicious stuff, and good for you.
My weight loss program has hit another plateau. My records show it seems to work that way, and has for the eleven weeks I’ve been at it. I’m not discouraged, because I was able to button my suit pants last Sunday for the first time since I don’t know when. My weight goal has not been reached, but I’ve been spared the expense of emergency new clothes.
Was this blog trivial enough? Hey, wake up, I asked you a question.
