It’s A Wonderful Life

picture of CharlesThe movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” largely ignored when first shown in movie houses many years ago, has become a classic, especially popular during the Christmas season. It teaches the lesson that every person is important.
God is interested in your life. If you are going through some kind of crisis today, stop worrying, take your burdens to the Lord and calm down. Romans 8:28 should never be forgotten: “We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” (NIV).
God is at work in your life. Jesus said, “My Father works and I work. That work is being done in you. The Holy Spirit has come to live within the Believer, and offers guidance and comfort every moment of every day. God works for your good, helping you grow toward spiritual maturity. Every person is important to Him and has a special place in His plan.

God has a purpose for your life.
A very popular little evangelistic booklet begins with the premise, “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.” If you are a Believer, you know He never gives up on you. If not, He still cares and is greatly interested in you. He cares about you.
The thread that runs through the Bible is the story of salvation. God created the world and everything in it, including people. People brought sin into the world by rebelling against God, and that sin was like a huge chasm of separation from the Creator. God built a bridge to reach us, and that bridge was the Cross upon which Jesus died. Jesus was buried but burst forth from the grave to offer new life to you and me. I have accepted His offer of mercy. I hope you have accepted it, too. If not, His offer still stands and He is waiting for you today. God offers each of us “a wonderful life.”
