In Memory of Dr. Ernest (“Buddy”) Hinze
October 23, 1939 – January 10, 2019

The picture in this blog was taken around 24 years ago. Buddy and Sue Hinze are shown here with Chloe and Sean Hinze, grandchildren that are shared with Wanda and Me.

Buddy and Sue are true servants of the Lord. They served churches in the Rio Grande Valley and other churches in Texas, Colorado and Wyoming before going to the mission field as Southern Baptist Missionaries. They worked in countries adjoining the Indian Ocean, training people in the service of our Lord.
They retired in Cherokee Village, Arkansas several years ago, and since that time he has struggled with Parkinson’s disease with Sue right there by his side at all times. Many years before, in Thailand, Sue was very seriously ill and Buddy was with her through it all.
Now, he has moved on to Heaven itself and is in the presence of the Lord.

Sue wrote this on the morning after Buddy’s homegoing: “Buddy’s family has shared about him going on to glory last night. It was a peaceful but glorious home-going. He just quit breathing .. Of course I already miss him: I miss my best friend; I already miss seeing him, hugging him, touching him and talking to him! And listening to him even when I couldn’t understand what he was saying these last several years. I know I’ll see him again, but being a human with flesh and blood, I’ll be lonesome for him until I join him in heaven. Our oldest son and wife are driving from Texas now to comfort my heart a few days.. I’m so thankful our daughter lives here! The service will be in March in central Texas.”
