Missed 5 dates

The cable guy just left and I’m connected to the internet again, so here I go again, resuming my blogs. I have a lot of new addresses, etc. but I think you can reach me if you like at the old email address. If so, that would probably be the easiest way for you and for me, too. We’ll see how it goes.
Not much to talk about yet. Just getting moved in and connected. I have a telephone at the house here, in addition to my cell phone, which I have used a lot recently, before getting the new phone at the house here today. My first order of business when I got to Houston last week was to get a new cell phone (same number, different handset), because my old phone got to where it shut itself off whenever it took a notion. The sales person took a look at it, and offered me a new one, saying the magic words, “It’s free.” So I accepted it. It doesn’t take pictures or make coffee, but it’s a reliable phone with many features I will never use.
We had a nice day at church Sunday morning, and went to Beverly and Leroy’s home for dinner and the Superbowl game. Good fellowship with the church members who were there.
I received the sad news today that Kim and Scott Jones have lost their expected baby. Scott is the new pastor of the First Baptist Church of Rockport. I’m sure all who read this will join with those are praying for this wonderful couple.
So, that’s about it for now. Just wanted to get this blog published so that you may know I’m back, after missing five dates, due to the move and lack of access to the internet.
