Late Sunday Blog

People in many places love God

I didn’t get the blog for this day done for the morning edition of the “Howdy Y’all All” Express News, but better late than never.
I made the move to Houston on Saturday, with the help of my son, Dwight, my son-in-law, Mark and my grandsons, Austin and Sean.
It was good to be back with the wonderful folks at Timbergrove Baptist Church. We had a sweet worship service today.
Saturday’s blog said I might not be able to blog for a while, because of the move, and that’s still true. I was able to write and publish this one you are reading because of unusual circumstances, but will probably not have computer access to the internet until later.
Being a Christian means being part of the Christian family. That means we have family wherever we go. I’ve learned that to be very true. Of course, Timbergrove Baptist Church and First Baptist Church, Rockport, are only 3 hours from each other by automobile. The churches differ from each other in some ways, but are very much alike in that loving and kind people are in the church, and Christ is Lord in their lives.
The two cities, however, are worlds apart in many ways. They have something very much in common, however. The people in each place need the Lord, and His salvation is available for all.
