It’s Bubbling In My Soul

When I started out preaching, choruses were very popular with kids and young people. We would gather in a circle in fellowship hall, and people would quote scripture verses, give short testimonies, or begin singing choruses, or hymns sometimes, and all would join in the singing. One of those fun choruses was, “It’s bubbling in my soul,” usually sung by the younger kids but enjoyed once in a while by the high schoolers too.

IT’S BUBBLING IN MY SOUL
James P. Sullivan, Mildred Sullivan Lacour
1936
It’s bubbling, it’s bubbling,
It’s bubbling in my soul.
There’s singing and laughing
Since Jesus made me whole.
Folks don’t understand it,
Nor can I keep it quiet.
It’s bubbling bubbling bubbling, bubbling ,
Bubbling day and night.
