Tomorrow is election day, U.S.A.
If you did not vote early, tomorrow is your last chance to have a voice.
Many people may be saying after tomorrow, “It’s finally over.”
I have a feeling, however, that the forces set in motion during this campaign will continue to work and we are in for some rocky times in a divided country.
The early Christians had no voice in their government. Unless they were Roman citizens, they had no rights, much less a vote. But the Apostle Paul told us that whatever government exists is established by the authority of God, and we are urged to pray for those in powerful positions who “have the rule over us.” We have a different type of government than they had, but the principle Paul encouraged us to follow is still the same, and that is to pray for our leaders.
