The song, “Give the World a Smile,” is another one that’s fun to sing, Unless one has an exceptional gifts of reading music, I don’t think he/she will be able to pick up a score and join more experienced singers to present this song on the first try. Fun to sing, but I would have to rehearse it many times to keep up with the other singers.
The message of the song certainly applies to us Christians, who have promised the Lord to try and make this world a better place. Giving the world a smile each day is a simple objective, but, oh, so important! Almost everyone can manage to smile and thereby become a blessing to others. The smile of a baby is spontaneous. Parents are overjoyed when they see their infant flash his/her first smile.
We must never forget that our smile can lift the spirits of others. Give it a try. Chances are strong that your smile will earn you the smile of the other person. Such an interchange may be “helping someone along life’s way,” as the song says. Try it. You’ll like it.
