Hey, Texas, We’re Callin’ Y’all
Hey, there, Lubbock, Hi, Amarillo,
Hello Wichita Falls.
We’re down here in Rockport, thinking of you,
Waiting for your friendly calls.
I know it’s hot now every day
Where you live and work and all,
It’s warm here, too, right here by the bay,
So we usually go to a mall.
But when evening comes, and the breezes blow,
We are cooler than y’all.
Sitting on the beach, watching kids, fast and slow,
We’re all having a ball.
So get yourselves together, both her and him,
Bring your wonderful kids–one and all.
You need a vacation, a place to swim,
Just give a motel a call.
