He Saw It All

Live and learn. That’s an old saying that has merit. Seems like I hear about something for the first time quite often. For instance, I heard The Booth Brothers, a Christian trio, sing Saturday night on Bill Gaither’s PBS program, “Classic Gospel.” They’ve been around a long time but I had never heard of them (dumb me). They have the closest harmony with each other that I’ve ever heard. They sing beautifully. When Gaither asked them about their most requested song, without hesitation they all said, “The Blind Man.” I had never heard that song either. See, I’m still learning at my age. I love the words to that song, and can see why the audiences keep requesting it. Here are part of the words:

A young man was running from in that direction
And stopped just to catch his breath
I asked him to please tell me what was the hurry
He smiled up at me and he said.
I was trying to catch the crippled man
Did he run past this way?
He was rushing home to tell everyone
What Jesus did today
And the mute man was telling myself and the deaf girl
He’s leaving to answer God’s call
It’s hard to believe but if you don’t trust me
Ask the blind man, he saw it all!

What thrilling words! What a wonderful trio of singers! Click here if you would like to hear them.
