How We May Know Jesus Better

The Apostle Paul expressed his desire to know Christ better in Philippians 3:10. Last evening at Prayer Meeting I shared these thoughts about that (adapted from a sermon by George W. Truett).

How May We Know Jesus Better?

1. We begin by asking ourselves how well we know Him now (John 17:3)
2. We must love the Bible (Psalm 119:105)
3. We need meditation (Psalm 19:14)
4. We need daily secret prayer (Matthew 6:6)
5. We must watch against sin (1 John 2:1)
6. We must have Christian friends (1 Corinthians 15:33)
7. We must be busy for Him (John 9:4)
8. We must pay the price, whatever it may be (Philippians 3:8)

(Scriptures referenced here are presented below)

More about Jesus
More about Jesus would I know,
More of His grace to others show;
More of His saving fulness see,
More of His love who died for me.
More, more about Jesus,
More, more about Jesus;
More of His saving fulness see,
More of His love who died for me.
