December 17, 2013 (Tuesday)
You are invited to pray for my daughter-in-law, Janet Fake, as she has surgery tomorrow for Breast Cancer. She has had chemo treatments for several months and will have radiation treatments for a number of weeks following the surgery. Pray for her husband, David, and their children.
As you no doubt know, our family is no stranger to Breast Cancer. Our friends have always prayed for our loved ones who have experienced this disease and all the things that go along with its treatment. We know you have been praying for Janet and her family and will continue to do so, especially tomorrow.
One of the most beautiful Bible verses is 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.” In the midst of our trials and tribulations, we are assured of God’s everlasting love.
The Scriptures encourage us to pray for one another. God hears and answers prayer. Every prayer should include giving of thanks and a willingness to see God’s will accomplished in and through every experience of life.
Perhaps one of the most meaningful passages of Scripture is Philippians 4:6-7, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus” (TLB).
