A very interesting Bible verse, Isaiah 52:7, makes this observation: “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’”
This verse can be applied to any messenger, but it seems to me to describe the ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Christ came with good news. The world sure could use a little good news today, and the mission of the Savior is the good news that God loves the world and has provided salvation by grace for all who believe in His Son. “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV).
The good news is about peace, good tidings and salvation.
Everyone can have peace with God, peace within themselves, and peace with other people.
Everyone can experience happiness, because of the good tidings of great joy that Jesus gives to those who love Him.
Everyone, including you, can be saved now. “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9 NIV).
The good news is that “Your God reigns!” God lives. He is real. There is a spiritual dimension. You can believe.
