Thanksgiving Eve

November 21, 2012 (Wednesday)
”picJames Easter of the singing Easter Brothers wrote a song many years ago about God’s blessings which serves as a reminder of how thankful we should be for the bare necessities of life. The words of his song help us keep our priorities straight and help us to see that a person can be thankful to the Lord even in hard times. Bill Gaither says he leads his audiences to sing this song whenever he feels they need a spiritual lift.

Thank You Lord for Your Blessings on Me

“While the world looks upon me, as I struggle along
They say I have nothing, but they are so wrong
In my heart I’m rejoicing, how I wish they could see
Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me.
Chorus:
“There’s a roof up above me
I’ve a good place to sleep
There’s food on my table
And shoes on my feet
You gave me your love Lord
And a fine family
Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me.
“Now I know I’m not wealthy, and these clothes , they’re not new
I don’t have much money, but Lord I have you
And to me that’s all that matters, though the world cannot see
Thank you Lord, for your blessings on me.”

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
