Next week

Holy Week

March 29, 2012 (Thursday)

”picTomorrow’s blog will be the last in the series, “The Seven Last Words of Jesus.” I am concluding the series a few days early because I want to write next week about the days of “Holy Week.” That series will begin on Palm Sunday (April 1) and conclude on Easter Sunday (April 8). You may recall that I wrote such a series of blogs last year during the week before Easter. You may review them by clicking on “April 2011” in the “Archive” column in the right column of the index page. The blogs began on April 17, 2011 and concluded on April 24, 2011. (For an all-in-one blog from 2008 that summarizes the week’s events, click here).
Each of the new blogs will have two parts. Part 1 will be entitled, “What happened on that day?” Part 2 will be entitled, “What does it mean for us today?”
Part 1 will be about that particular day of Holy Week, recounting the events of the day. Part 2 will offer a few brief suggestions for lessons based on that day’s events.
A link at the bottom of each page will take you to last year’s blog about that day, which offers more details.
In the meantime, we will conclude the present series on the statements of Jesus from the cross with tomorrow’s blog, “Divine Acceptance,” or “Death Transformed,” based on Jesus final words, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” A link to each of the blogs in that series is included at the end of each blog.
