Worship

Necessary for the Child of God

Worship is an experience within our hearts. Jesus said, “They that worship must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). Being in a church building is no guarantee that you will worship, and being in a place other than a church is no prohibition against worship. Being in church and worshiping is the best situation for the Believer.
Worship is an experience shared with others. The Bible urges us to hold steadfastly to assembling ourselves as Believers in Jesus Christ. It warns us not to forsake that important part of our lives. As we worship together, we learn the true joy of knowing God. Together as a body, we listen, we pray, we sing, and we make our offerings.
Worship is an experience with the Lord. Jesus promised His presence whenever we gather in His name. We need to experience the presence of the Lord and to be put in tune with Him, thereby gaining spiritual strength.
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker (Psalm 95:6).
