..God knows all..

We are comforted by the knowledge that God knows and loves us

July 7, 2007 (Saturday) – Students in Australia have created clothing that can monitor your heart and lung functions. The garments monitor your activities during the day and when you hang them up at night they download the record of your day to a computer in the closet.
The researchers say they can tell what a person is doing all day long. Reminds me of something I learned as a kid. Mothers can tell what you have been doing all day, partly by looking at your clothes, and also simply by looking at you.
When you grow up and become a husband, you discover that a wife has that same uncanny ability.
The One that keeps the best record of your daily activities is God Himself. He sees all, hears all, and knows all. The prophet prayed, “You know me, O LORD; you see me and test my thoughts about you.” (Jeremiah 12:3 NIV).
Remember Jonah? He thought he could hide from God. He boarded a ship, hoping to get to a place far from the eye of God. He was so comfortable with those thoughts that he slept well, inside the ship, as a storm raged. If you recall the story, you know things didn’t turn out as he had expected, because God knew exactly where he was, and didn’t want him there. He had plans for Jonah elsewhere.
When we are secure in the knowledge that God loves us and is aware of our every thought and deed, we are comforted by that knowledge. If we are disobedient, our feelings of comfort fade dramatically. The choice is ours. The hymn urges us, “Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.”
“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” (Psalm 19:14 KJV).
