Total Praise

The hymn, “Total Praise,” is a majestic, reverent song that gives all glory to God for giving us daily spiritual strength. It was written by Richard Smallwood at a time in his life when he felt weakened by trials. The words of this hymn express confidence in God in any and all circumstances.
I have been preaching at Bethel Baptist Church in Ingleside for several years, but I remember the choir of the First Baptist Church of Rockport singing this song, lifting the spirits of the congregation as Allen Ray Moers led them. I got the feeling that it was a favorite of both director and choir. Rightfully so.

Total Praise
Richard Smallwood
Lord, I will lift mine eyes to the hills
Knowing my help is coming from You
Your peace, You give me in time of the storm
You are the source of my strength
You are the strength of my life
I lift my hands in total praise to you
You are the source of my strength
You are the strength of my life
I lift my hands in total praise to you
Amen, Amen (Amen)
Amen, Amen (Amen)
Amen, Amen (Amen)
Amen, Amen (Amen)
You are the source of my strength
You are the strength of my life
I lift my hands in total praise to you
Amen, Amen (Amen)
Amen, Amen (Amen)
Amen, Amen (Amen)
Amen, Amen (Amen)
