Walter E. Knight – absent from the body, present with the Lord

             A MILLION TIMES
A million times we’ve needed you,
       A million times we’ve cried.
If love alone could’ve saved you,
       You never would have died.

In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place,
No one else will ever fill.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
         But you didn’t go alone.
Part of us went with you,
The day God took you home.

This poem expresses my personal feelings in the loss of those I love. It’s
how I feel today, as I think about Walter Knight, beloved pastor and friend.
I have tried to find out who wrote this beautiful poem, but “author unknown”
is the only credit I’ve seen. If you know who the author is, please let me
know.
