The Fruit of the Spirit is a cluster of nine virtues that the Holy Spirit produces in our lives. Books have been written about them. Sermons have been preached about them, exhorting people at length to be more like Jesus. I describe them here as simply as I can:

Simple Descriptions

Fruit of the Spirit
Love – Devoted (to God, to others).
Joy – Feeling good.
Peace – Unified inside.
Patience – Not complaining.
Kindness – Sensitive to need.
Goodness – Giving gladly.
Faithfulness – Keeping promises.
Gentleness – Nonabrasive tenderness
Self-control – Managing emotions.

Why not go over the list in Galatians 5:22-23 and describe each for yourself, briefly if possible. If you are like me, you will find it a beneficial exercise. I pray having done so I will yield more of my life to the Lord’s control.
The Fruit of the Spirit is the work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Believer.
The word, “Fruit,” is singular, indicating it is a cluster of virtues that go together.
The list has been called a description of the Christian life.
The list has also been characterized as a description of Jesus Christ.
It’s a very important part of the Bible.
