I invite you to visit Dwight’s Flickr site. He has posted thousands upon thousands of our pictures on this site. Click here to visit.
You will see all kinds of pictures that he has taken and others have shared. Most of them are family photos of various kinds, taken over a span that extends backward to the 1800’s. Here is one taken in 1967, looking west. It’s the old H.E.B., which was an enlargement of Grady West’s supermarket. It was located on what is now the parking lot of the old abandoned HEB building near the Rockport harbor. Magnolia Street is behind it.
Here I am holding a recent gift from my grandchildren (That’s Dianna in the background). The gift is the Fake Family tree carved in wood, featuring the names of Wanda’s and Charles’ descendants as of 2016. This picture is on the Flickr site.
And here is the Family Tree hanging on the wall in our living room. Doesn’t that look nice? This picture, too, is on the Flickr site.
There are all kinds of pictures on Dwight’s pages. Many of them are quite creative and unusual. Like the one that features alligator heads for sale. Or the closeups of birds or lizards. Most of them tell the story of our family through the years. I’m proud of Dwight for doing this. It’s quite an achievement. Here’s the link again: Click here.
Flickr is the creation of a lady whose last name is Fake. She is a distant relative. We have the same fourth great grandfather. Yahoo now owns her site.
