A CHRISTMAS POEM

Christmas in Rockport, Texas, 2021
Christmas comes but once each year
So listen now, I want you to hear
About a woman named Mary who loved God so
Whose husband said, It’s time to go..
..To Bethlehem, where God will show
How much He loves this world below.
For a birth will pierce this awesome night
And bring to the world a healing light
For unto us a Son is given
Who will arive on earth from Heaven
To give us a gift that all should receive–
Eternal salvation for all who believe
His Name will be Jesus, for God says so,
A Name that all the world shall know
As the Name of our Savior who will save from sin
And give wonderful life to believers in Him.
For God so loved this world below
That He gave us His Son who loves us so,
Through faith in Him we are saved by grace,
Let us tell the people in every place.
This is what Christmas is all about
It gives us many reasons to shout
And tell the world about His love
And the home He’s prepared in Heaven above.
