This well-known and much-loved hymn has appeared in 83 hymnals, including The Baptist Hymnal. Hard for me to believe that no one knows who wrote the words or music (see Wikipedia for more info). At the end of this blog is a link to Merle Haggard’s simple and beutiful rendition.
