“Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen” Romans 11:33-36 NIV). Printed below in outline form are a few thoughts about these beautiful and meaningful verses:
I. GOD IS RICH IN KNOWLEDGE
1. He knows all about material things.
(1) He knows all the secrets of science.
(2) He knows where the world is headed.
2. He knows all about spiritual things
(1) He knows everything about you
(2) He wants you to act like you know He knows
II. GOD IS RICH IN WISDOM
1. God is moving the world toward its destiny
2. God is moving in mysterious ways
(1) We don’t understand Him sometimes
(2) We shall someday understand it all
III. GOD IS RICH IN MERCY
1. God wants to save you.
2. God sent Jesus to show His love.
3. God can forgive you in Christ.
CONCLUSION:A wonderful song tells us of the riches of our God:
I hold not its silver and gold,
But a treasure far greater is mine
I have riches of value untold.
Oh, the depth of the riches of love,
The riches of love in Christ Jesus.
Far better than gold or wealth untold
Are the riches of love in Christ Jesus.
