Let Jesus Come Into Your Heart

Theme this week: Songs of Invitation

October 20, 2021 (Wednesday)

In speaking to an entire church (Revelation 3:20) Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” His words were a sad commentary on the spiritual condition of the church. But a broader, more personal interpretation of Jesus’ words involves you and me because Jesus wants to come into the heart of every person in this world. He wants to rule there as king of our lives, and as a benevolent monarch He supplies all our needs (Philippians 4:19).

Several beautiful paintings illustrate this saying of Jesus (one is displayed here). Through His Holy Spirit He knocks at your heart’s door. That longing for something better, a walk with God, a peaceful heart, a kinder, gentler walk with others..yes a longing for an abundant life in Christ is the result of that knocking at your heart’s door. Please hear His voice, and open the door. Let Jesus come into your heart.
