In many families, Christmas Eve is set aside for exchanging gifts. It can be a very delightful evening spent together around the Christmas tree, and especially joyful if there are children present.
Christmas Dinner is phase two in such families. It, too, is very special as people come home for Christmas and sit around a sumptuous table featuring a truly great meal.
These days come around only once a year. Enjoy them.
Tonight may give you the opportunity to sing Christmas carols with friends and family. Good old “Jingle Bells” usually kicks off the sing song and at some point all join in singing “Silent Night, Holy Night.”
Many churches have Christmas Eve services these days. If one is available for you, perhaps you could take the family and enjoy it together. Reverence and Joy–a great combination. Merry Christmas.
