November 19, 2015 (Thursday)
I woke up with a song in my head again. But this song is different, because I don’t think it has been written yet. And all I hear is some fellow who sounds a lot like George Jones singing in a staccato cadence, “What kind of problems do you have right now?”
My biggest problem at the moment is finding out what this song is about, searching my brain for a hint of some kind. Is it a real song I’ve heard somewhere? Or is it something that originated all on its own in my dreamworld? If it’s a dream that is trying to solve a problem of some kind for me, then why didn’t I remain asleep long enough at least to hear some more of the words?
How would you continue writing this song? What would the next line be? I’ll give it a try. Here goes..
What kind of problems do you have today?
Do you feel that you are “up a tree?”
Got a lot of problems that won’t go away?
La de da de la de da de la de da de ee (need words)
Enough silliness. Let’s write a real song using this first line. Here we go again..
What kind of problems do you have today?
What cares and sorrows make you want to pray?
Listen to the Bible, it won’t lead you astray,
“Cast your cares upon Him;” He has something to say.
He says, Child you know I love you and I always will
Others may forsake you, but I love you still.
I am here to help you walk that lonely way,
Cast you cares upon me, I am here to stay.
Ok, song writ, that’s it. Now all we need is a tune.
