When people believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior, they have an experience that is so wonderful it is difficult to put into words. John W. Peterson attempted to do that in 1961 with the hymn, “Heaven Came Down and Glory Filled My Soul.” Peterson wrote the song after hearing a personal testimony by a man who used these words to describe his experience of coming to know Jesus as his Savior.
