It Won’t Rain Always

February 11, 2021 (Thursday)

About a year ago we began hearing about the possibility of a pandemic because of the Covid-19 virus. By the middle of March it had already produced rules and regulations for the general public to follow in order to check the spread of the vicious virus, which was beginning to claim lives. Afterwards it spread to other countries, and soon it covered the world. Recently vaccines were introduced and a light at the end of the tunnel began to appear. One of these days the pandemic will end and perhaps we will get back to normal.

Professor Harold Hill in “The Music Man” gathered the folks from River City at the center of town and told them, “Troubles! You got troubles! Right here in River City!” The people echoed, “Troubles!”

Life is full of troubles, isn’t it? They come and they go.

The song, “It Won’t Rain Always,” assures us that our troubles are not here to stay. They will be gone in due time. It’s raining now, but the clouds will soon be gone and we’ll see the sun that they’ve been hiding. That old sun has been there all along.” Cheer up, look for the silver lining that promises brighter and happier days.

Someone said that in each life some rain is bound to fall
And each one sheds his share of tears
And trouble troubles us all
But the hurt can’t hurt forever
And the tears are sure to dry

And it won’t rain always
The clouds will soon be gone
The sun that they’ve been hiding has been there all along
And it won’t rain always
God’s promises are true
The sun’s gonna shine in His own good time
And He will see you through
