Try it, you’ll like it. That’s what Alka-Seltzer’s commercial used to suggest.
So I am suggesting the same to you. Think up something a little different, prepare it, and then try it. Since you went to the trouble of preparing the food, you are likely to like it.
I cooked a pork tenderloin and it was good, but the leftover meat has been languishing in the refrigerator. Until yesterday. Then I took my little knife and sliced off four pieces, which I cut up into four sections each. I dropped the pieces into my miniature food processor, added some sweet relish and mayo. Shook a little seasoning into it. Gave it a few seconds to mix it thoroughly, then shoveled it out into a cereal bowl.
I put the bowl on the kitchen bar, added a glass of sugar-free punch, and some saltines. Sat down, flipped on the TV news, and dined alone.
I doubt you will find a recipe for my very excellent supper in any book. But the stuff was good. Better than the TV news. So, I say, dream up something new and untried, then try it–you may like it.
