Parents can identify with the words of “A Mother’s Prayer,” as the mother asks God to watch over her daughter as she grows up and goes out on her own. She prays for the daughter to be safe, to have a faith all her own, and gain wisdom to make right choices. She prays for her daughter to be led to a place where she will be safe. The melody of “The Prayer” seems very well suited to the song, “A Mother’s Prayer.”
