One cannot write today’s date without emotion.
It is a date that has become an expression in itself, forever changing our historical perspective: “Nine Eleven.”
Most people can remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard or saw the news on that September morning in 2001. The memories are very sad indeed.
Thousands died in New York City, Washington, D.C., and in Pennsylvania. Families in the U.S.A. and throughout the world were directly affected by those deaths.
Several memorial monuments help us to remember with reverence the events of of that fateful day and the people who died.
All across the nation and around the world people gathered together for prayer and worship, instinctively seeking divine help in an hour of crisis.
In the ensuing battles against the forces of terrorism, thousands more have died, in Afghanistan, Iraq and in other countries. Wars and unrest continue throughout the Middle East. We do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future. Let us draw near to Him who holds the answers to all of our questions about what is yet to come.
