THE LOVE CHAPTER 1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-13
INTRODUCTION: This chapter of the Bible is known as "The
Love Chapter." It tells us about the value of Love in our lives.
I. LOVE MAKES GIFTS BENEFICIAL (13:1-3)
1. Makes tongues a powerful means of witness (1a)
2. Makes preaching understandable and powerful (2a)
3. Makes knowledge helpful in witnessing (2b)
4. Makes faith practical in living for Christ (2c)
5. Makes deeds of mercy acts of service to God (3a)
6. Makes sacrifice and martyrdom all for Christ (3b)
II. LOVE MAKES PEOPLE BEAUTIFUL (13:4-7)
1. Makes people patient and kind (4a)
2. Makes people glad to see others do well (4b)
3. Makes people less self-centered (4c)
4. Makes people courteous (5a)
5. Makes people even-tempered (5b)
6. Makes people forgive and forget (5c)
7. Makes people good and truthful (6)
8. Makes people get involved with others (7)
III. LOVE MAKES BLESSINGS BOUNTIFUL (13:8-12)
