Twelve Days to Christmas Eve

”picBoo!

That’s what you say when you sneak up on somebody and scare them. Kids love to do it. They don’t know it’s dangerous to do old people that way.
When I saw that today’s date is only 12 days away from Christmas Eve, I felt like my calendar had been hiding and suddenly came out of the shadows and yelled, “Boo!,” real loud. I was not expecting Christmas so soon.
But here it is. Once again. I hope everything about Christmas goes your way this year. I wish for you an opportunity to show the love of Christ to someone in a tangible way, so that your Christmas observance will be especially meaningful to you. And to the person(s) you bless in some way.
We once had a cat that just up and disappeared one day. We didn’t see him for nearly a year. Then one day he showed up. It was Christmas Day! In the meantime, we had adopted a cat that considered this place his home, and after a long, drawn-out discussion between the two felines about who owned the Fake family, the old-timer gave up and walked away, never to be seen again. He never even got a taste of Christmas dinner. I’m sure there’s a moral in that story somewhere. I’ll let you figure it out.
